What is Acro at Elevate?

At Elevate’s Acro Lab, dancers train in a professional, fully equipped environment designed to support every level of acro development — from the very first cartwheel to advanced aerial, tumbling, and apparatus skills. Our curriculum blends dance technique, strength conditioning, tumbling progressions, and aerial arts to create strong, confident, technically skilled athletes.

a fun and safe introduction to acrobatics and tumbling for young dancers ages 3–6. Through playful activities and age-appropriate skills, children develop strength, balance, flexibility, and body awareness—all while shining bright and having a blast!

Beginner Acro

Beginner Acro introduces dancers to the fundamentals of acrobatics in a safe and supportive environment. Dancers will build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness while learning basic skills like rolls, bridges, handstands, and cartwheels. This class focuses on proper technique and control, helping dancers gain confidence as they move and tumble.

Intermediate Acro

Intermediate Acro

Intermediate Acro is designed for dancers who have mastered basic acrobatic skills and are ready to advance. This class focuses on strength, flexibility, control, and technique while introducing more challenging skills like walkovers, limbers, and variations of handstands and balances. Dancers will continue building confidence and body awareness in a safe and encouraging environment. *must have right and left cartwheel

Advanced Acro

Intermediate Acro

This challenging class is designed for experienced dancers ready to push their acrobatics skills to the next level. Students will focus on aerials, back walkover variations, back handsprings, balances, partner work, and seamless transitions between acro and dance movement. Emphasis is placed on strength, control, flexibility, and clean technique to ensure safe and powerful execution. Ideal for committed dancers looking to refine their acro abilities and incorporate them confidently into performance and choreography. *must have back walkover without assistance/spotting.

Pre-Pro Acro

Side + Front Aerials

Pre Pro is designed for highly experienced dancers with strong technique, strength, and flexibility. This class focuses on mastering elite acrobatic skills such as aerial variations, back handspring variations, back tucks, back and front aerials,  and advanced partner and contortion work. Dancers will train complex transitions and seamlessly blend acro into choreography, all while building control, endurance, and performance quality in a fast-paced, challenging environment. *must have back handspring and side aerial*

Designed for intermediate to advanced students, this class breaks down the mechanics of both side and front aerials. Dancers will train body alignment, momentum control, and explosive power through targeted drills and conditioning exercises. Instructors provide individualized feedback to help each student progress toward landing consistent, clean aerials.

Backbends

Aerial Silks & Hoop

Designed for dancers, gymnasts, and cheerleaders, this class focuses on building the flexibility and strength needed for strong, controlled backbends. Students will work on proper alignment, shoulder and back mobility, and smooth transitions into and out of their bends. Great preparation for more advanced acro or tumbling skills.

Aerial Silks & Hoop

Our Aerial Silks & Hoop class introduces dancers to the exciting world of aerial arts using soft, fabric silks and the circular aerial hoop. Students learn how to climb, wrap, balance, spin, and create beautiful shapes in the air, all in a safe, supportive environment.

This class is amazing for building strength, confidence, and flexibility. Dancers begin with low-level skills and progress into more advanced poses and sequences at their own pace. It’s empowering, challenging, and an absolute blast!

Cheer Tumbling

Cartwheels & Handstands

Athletes will work on strength, flexibility, power, and proper form in a positive environment. Perfect for beginners through intermediate tumblers looking to gain confidence and improve skills for cheer or dance teams.

Cartwheels & Handstands

Cartwheels & Handstands

Dancers will focus on proper technique, balance, strength, and body alignment while learning safe and correct cartwheel and handstand skills. This class builds confidence upside down and helps dancers clean up their basics while creating a strong foundation for more advanced acro skills.

Kip Ups & Headsprings

Dancers will focus on proper technique, strength, coordination, and timing while learning and refining kip ups and headsprings. This class emphasizes safe progressions, body control, and power development to help dancers execute these skills with confidence and consistency, while building a strong foundation for advanced tumbling.

Acro Flex

Dancers will work on targeted flexibility sequences, strength-support exercises, and skill-specific stretches that translate to improved walkovers, aerials, contortion elements, and more. This class is ideal as a supplement to acro technique and dance training for students ready to safely push their flexibility and performance to the next level.
